Fall Capsule Wardrobe

Waxed denim is back this season, and it's the perfect option for rainy days on the Upper West Side as it keeps your legs and feet dry. Paired with a classic trench and block heeled Chelsea boots, you'll look chic and put together while feeling comfortable running around town.
Before completely transitioning your closet to fall - here are a few of my favorite tips I use with my personal organization clients that you can apply at home.
STORAGE SOLUTIONS FOR TRANSITIONING SEASONS
Make sure all your garments are properly cleaned before putting them away for seasonal storage.
Lightweight silks and knits should be dry cleaned before being carefully folded in plastic compression bags.
Maxi dresses, silk caftans and summer dresses should be cleaned, repaired if any straps have come loose, and hung loosely in garment bags.
Bathing suits should be washed and laid flat to completely dry before stored in ziplock bags.
Check sandals and summer flats for any necessary repairs like worn soles or bald heels. ROSY's Shoe Repair on W 84th is my go-to. Wrap delicate sandals in tissue and store in plastic bins.
